Kipini Integrated Community Enterprise — empowering communities in Tana River County since 2010.
Kipini Integrated Community Enterprise (KICE) is a community-based organisation founded in 2010 to address the pressing development challenges facing communities in Kipini, Tana River County. Situated along Kenya’s coastline at the mouth of the Tana River, Kipini is home to rich biodiversity, vibrant fishing communities, and significant environmental and socio-economic challenges.
KICE works directly with over 50 registered community groups, empowering local people through targeted programmes in environmental conservation, community health, and education and livelihoods. Our approach is participatory — we believe that sustainable development is only possible when communities lead their own change.
To empower local community groups in Kipini through sustainable development initiatives in education, health, and environmental conservation — fostering resilient and self-reliant communities.
